Greetings, members!

The mod team is starting the process of bringing on two new staff members.  We have individual jobs in mind for these two people, and chose them specifically to fill those roles.  For the time being, however, they will simply be chat mods in a sort of trial and learning period.

Our reasons for doing so are many, but include the following:

- The two of us are feeling slightly overwhelmed with the amount of mod characters that we’ve needed to create.  More mods means more NPCs for characters to interact with on a more regular basis when the two of us might be busy.
- We’ve been wanting to implement new programs, but don’t have the time to run them.
- New mods can help share the workload and add fresh ideas, so that events and plot can be more dimentional and member-involved

How does this involve me?

As the members of this group, your opinions are valuable!  We want you to be as involved as possible.  We have selected these mods based on their character and skill to fill in specific holes we have in our administration, but we would like to hear what praise or concern you may have.

-> We are requesting you as members to be on the lookout for any in-chat issues that may arise.  Remember that everyone makes small mistakes, but if something is handled badly please take a screenshot and note it to *Wings-of-Shadow along with any comments or critique you may have, so that we can address the issue.

Who are the new mods going to be?  Who are their characters?

The two mods are ~kiako and ~Marmarlade.  Both of them have created a staff character.  Meet them below!

Gwendolin, the Oversized Dorms Supervisor, and her EGG Phobos.

Fredrick, the EGG’d shop supervisor, and his EGG Newton.

What are their responsibilities?

Eventually they will be given more power over certain aspects of the group, but for now, they are both chat mods.  Responsibilities include:

- Kicking and banning power in chat
- Keeping the peace in chat, and making sure heated arguments move or end
- Greeting new people and potential members
- Enforcing the basic chat rules
- Answering simple questions, or directing to a Guide if the answer is unknown or requires a decision by a higher power

As chat mods, they may continue to participate in event contests, as the prizes are decided by member vote and they have no power in the group account, so they cannot see or help tally the votes.

In light of the fact that some of the stats are getting much more love than others, we're going to close down enrollment for members in a couple of the stats, to make sure EGGs are evenly distributed.  As it stands, several of the stats have as much as twice the amount of EGGs than some of the others.

The stats that are closing for now are:

Life Energy
Intelligence
Air Elemental

There is no set date for when these will reopen.  If you are planning new EGGs, please plan to join one of the other stats.
