EGGTech is a highly lucrative and large company which supports the adoption and care of the creatures it manufactures. It is well-known throughout this world, like the Disney of ours. EGGTech provides community services and useful inventions which have advanced technology tenfold. The creatures themselves are each unique to their owners, and it's through a marriage of efforts between company and owner that advances these EGGs into adulthood.

:bulletwhite: :bulletyellow: :bulletblack:   The History of EGGTech... :bulletblack: :bulletyellow: :bulletwhite:

This company was founded by one Dr. Trenton Bernadoff, who held control of the company for years until passing the reigns to his partner, Dr. Ezra Kafni.  A descendant from a long line of intellects, inventors, and explorers, Dr. Kafni is no stranger to business, and though he is very elusive, everyone knows his name. He is the first to touch any and all EGGs, and somewhere inside, all hatched EGGs recognize his voice. After the men and their team of researchers found the method of creating these creatures which they dubbed EGGs, they realized their worth and potential to help the community, so they opened up an adoption center in his company to sell the eggs to the public. The EGGs are not sold anywhere else but this city, but customers from around the world are welcome; and indeed, the company is famously know worldwide.

E.T.S. Bots Reference by wingedness

E.T.S. is an acronym for EGGTech Security and refers to a special unit of hand-crafted machines that serve as peacekeepers and protectors of EGGs as a species. Developed with highly sophisticated artificial intelligence, ETS are more efficient and able than human security, these bots come in three different forms, each with a different purpose and equipped to fulfill their unique duties. All ETS bots are made of incredibly durable metal that is weather, heat, and cold-resistant, and are virtually indestructible. Dr. Kafni did not want to create a small army of emotionless machines, however, so each ETS bot is equipped unique personalities and holographic, human faces made to make them more personable to those they protect.
    Captains
      - ETS Captains are painted a bright red, and stand at a towering nine feet tall. They are built to be the strongest of all of the ETS, and are capable of lifting and pushing weights up to three times their own weight. They are combat ETS, and their purpose is to direct and lead attacks on enemies and intruders.
    Shields
      - ETS Shields are smaller than Captains, being only about seven feet tall, but they are more sturdy and more durable than their red companions. Built with shield-like arms and legs, they have empty chest cavities capable of storing and protecting a single human being or small EGG in times of trouble. They also protect and defend the Medic ETS bots from harm.
    Medics
      - ETS Medics are the smallest of the three forms, standing at six feet, and are the lightest and most frail of all. Due to their lack of armor, however, they are faster, and also serve as scouts and messengers. They carry with them various medical tools and are programmed to perform basic medical aide when needed.

EGGs are biologically engineered creatures meant to fulfill and enrich aspects of daily life. They are pets, companions, and friends unique to their owners, each harboring traits that complement the ones who raised them. EGGs come in countless shapes and sizes, and grow with abilities unique to themselves and their stats.

EGGs go through four evolutionary milestones, called stages. They all begin the same exact way, created in the Egg stage, and through nurturing they hatch into the Newborn stage. With training and extra attention, the Newborns can evolve into Adolescents, and then into Adults. The Guide EGGs are considered Elders due to their unrivaled stats that are typically impossible for other EGG owners to achieve. After each stage, the creature is given a chance to evolve in features and in ability through the help of EGGTech's evolutionary chamber. The Stats themselves are seven different types of EGG: Agility, Strength, Defense, Intelligence, Life Energy, Death Energy, and Elemental Energy.

:bulletwhite: :bulletyellow: :bulletblack:Natural and Unique Abilities:bulletblack: :bulletyellow: :bulletwhite:

There are two different abilities that any EGG has. The natural ability, which is common to only those of its same Stat, and the unique ability, which is unique to only the EGG individual itself. While the natural abilities are of a set description, the unique ability could be something entirely unrelated. These skills get stronger and evolve as the EGG evolves. As a member, you must get the approval of both the unique ability and use of natural ability before they can be considered official and canon in the EGGTech storyline. If you need help or have any questions regarding unique abilities, please visit the Deviantart chatroom here to speak with a moderator, or see the master list of already accepted abilities.

:bulletwhite: :bulletyellow: :bulletblack:Domestic EGGs and Worker EGGs :bulletblack: :bulletyellow: :bulletwhite:

EGGs are classified into two types, domestic and worker. While these types are not by any means divisions to show actual differences between EGGs, it simply describes the function of the EGG. For instance, Jebediah the Strength Guide has two EGGs. One is for companionship's sake, Ellie Mae. The other helps him with his work as a Guide, Ulysses. The difference between the two in this sense is that Ulysses is classified as a working dog might, while Ellie Mae would be deemed as an ordinary housecat. They're both pets. One of them merely has a job.

Worker EGGs are also described as battle EGGs. While it is legal to train your EGGs to spar with others, fighting them with the intent to harm or kill is considered a felony not unlike dog fighting, and while we do not prohibit it as mods for plot's sake, we do warn that there will be consequences if a character is caught.

:bulletwhite: :bulletyellow: :bulletblack:Imprinting:bulletblack: :bulletyellow: :bulletwhite:
eggssssss by wingedness
All eggs start off blank. White. No markings whatsoever. The only hands that have ever touched your EGG before you would have belonged to Dr. Kafni himself. The reason for this is that the moment an EGG is touched, it begins a process called imprinting. This process has been described as a one-sided bonding of the souls. The EGG embryo shifts and adapts to the personality of the individual that raises it. Your EGG will bond to you, and only you. When it hatches, it will have a very faint empathic connection, so that when you get upset, your EGG will respond too. If an EGG dies, the owner is unaffected, but if the OWNER dies, the life force of the EGG is cut off and it will perish as well.

Once an EGG has been imprinted to an individual, there is no way to reverse the process. However, intensive research is being done on how to de-imprint an EGG in order to spare unfortunate EGGs miserable lives under abusive or neglective owners.
